Re: Films

Am I the only one that goes to the pictures? Films are outrageously expensive here. For two people, it costs $50.00 Cdn (about 28 pounds) for the tickets and a drink with popcorn. Add gas(petrol) and the cost of a specialized worker to look after Curtis (son) and we're looking at close to $100 Cdn....

Re: Is Tesco justified?

Thanks for the information about Tesco. I didn't know about that stuff. In the OP I said niqab when I meant hijab covering the head but not the face. Re: Humans are the only animals that cook.

Causing smaller stomachs and bigger brains? Sounds intriguing. Was it our ancestors big brains that made them discover cooking or the increase in energy derived from cooked food that made their brains bigger? The book sounds very readable: “Catching Fire” is a plain-spoken and thoroughly gripping sc...

Re: TFTD

I'm afraid I disagree with ttd. I find the change in pace introduced by tftd irritating enough, never mind the content. I don't think I'd be any less irritated by non-religious reflections at that time in the morning. I voted for the first option.
