Re: Free will
.... At the same time, though, if we keep reminding ourselves that the self is no more than the totality of everything else, everything that goes on in the brain and in the rest of the body, so that effectively there's nothing left over that isn't part of the self, then it makes less and less sense...

Re: Free will
Free will doesn't actually exist.. You are only ever free to do what is within your limits to do, or what you are allowed to do.. Rules, laws, physics ect will pretty much guarantee your free will is a pseudo. Bit of a, ah, strawman, yes? And when you use this "Free Will" concept, if you are limite...

I didn't review the scholarly article, just your blog post, so maybe I've missed it, but was there a description of the manner of classification of "bad" family vs. "good" family? Yes, please do see the blog post and its links, saves me copying and pasting. The description was in certain well-descr...

I have a close family member who's birthday is November 1st Hey! So do I! What's the chances of that, eh? Well, if you could persuade randomly choose them to go into a room with 365 other randomly chosen close family members, I'd say the chances are about 100%. Actually, your chances are IIRC prett...

Re: The pre-pubescent wonders of science
Fergus is objectionable. Only science can describe the marvellous bloom of the zebra tree. Most zebras like to be stimulated, but Fergus got arrested for doing that. Are we not all amazed? Are we yet tired of being amazed? Especially at the amount of bail demanded for Fergus.

.... My reason for starting this thread is to show to you that the logic used in Game Of Life and indeed the argument to dismiss of that there is a sapience that is responsible for the universe the way it is, is not sound. In deed if you understand why it is not sound you would definitely stop usin...
