Re: How did your MP vote?

Trying to read that debate is scrambling my brains. It's really confusing that there are two Mr Howarth's one in favour of abolition (David) and the other against (Gerald). The arguments in favour don't seem to amount to much: this is a Christian country; it's the wrong time to send out the message ...

Re: Spirituality

I confess I can't be bothered to read the whole thing. It seems heavy and academic. But I get the impression the piece contains interesting ideas, if only they could be more simply and concisely presented.

Re: Dogs are cruel, Cats are cool

An Engineer's Guide to Cats . Two professional engineers illustrate the proper care and practical benefits of cats. None of the cats, humans, or engineers were mistreated in the making of this film. They were however, slightly annoyed. Song on ending credits is called "Sparky's New Bike" from Shock...

Is Richard Dawkins really God?

Richard Dawkins is going to make an appearance in the final episode of the current series of Doctor Who and, according to New Humanist magazine who ran a poll on their blog recently, 36% of voters said he should play God. Hilarious. (Other options were a timelord, a cyberman, a good scientist, an ev...

I confess I haven't read his books but from what I've seen of him in TV interviews, I get the impression he can be a right knob. Doesn't he support the Iraq war as well?
