Rik Mayall. A sad loss.

The Young Ones was a brilliant, mould shattering sit com and Rik was absolutly superbly anarchic in it.

Bottom was less to my liking :)

I was lucky enough to see Rik live on two occasions, once at the Edinburgh festival when he did a show with Ben Elton. This was at the hight of the Young Ones and was sold out.

I saw him many years later in a farce, in which he was fabulous! Ad libbing like mad, much to th consternation of the rest of the cast, who were struggling to keep straight faces.

A very sad loss to comedy.

Yes, a very sad day for comedy.

Think I will get a bottle of vino and watch "The Young Ones" DVD end to end after tomorrow's blood test.

Agree about "Bottom".
