Pop paracetamol for existential angst

#1 Post by Dave B » April 28th, 2015, 4:30 pm

Looks like the media have got it wrong agsin, quelle surprise!

The Daily Wail published a fouled up understanding of some odd research and the BBC are propagating it.

This is the NHS angle on it.

Having now listened to the BBC prog (start 20min in) last night it seems that they were just headlining earlier with the "existential angst
" part. Out of context propagation leads the listener astray!

Listening to the two researchers seems to indicate that paracetamol may "blunt" emotions. Um, give someone a psychotropic drug and it affects their brain? Seems it may affect the part where emotions are formed - yes, interesting!
