Time to stop messing about on my favourite forum and get on with something creative - after I have fed the cat, of course. She is sitting, posing patiently, on my desk between me, my keyboard and my screen giving me neck ache trying to look round her to check my typos.

A friend's daughter had an "early learning" computer that bleeped as you pressed a key. Their kitten was fascinated by this and would pounce on the keyboard then try to touch whatever came up on the screen. So would an infinite number of kittens to the same job as the infinite number of monkeys I wonder.

I think this thread is so positive - I mean, in theory, it can never end. Perhaps that is not positive at all.

Well how ignorant I am, it is a political treatise by Burke (pub 1770) as no doubt you all know. Seems to criticise favouritism in government (glad we don't have that anymore!)

I feel virtuous.

I have cleaned the bath and loo, including all the nooks and crannies, done the washing up, cleaned the inside of the microwave, the work surfaces, the cooker, the floor. Changed the bedding and tidied the desk.

I feel knackered.
