I often think about this awful case and have just now reread it all on Wikipedia (just googled Stefan Kiszko) - a truly sad story and one that should not be forgotten. I knew the detective, Holland, mentioned towards the end as being responsible for this and other miscarriages of judgement through my work on humanist funerals.

Re: Gone, but not forgotten A-Z
niney - "Niney gone, poor poor Niney!" said some TV comic some time ago when parodying John Gielgud. Does this mean anything to anyone here? The preceding dialogue was something like: "What's the time?" "It's gone nine"

Yes, very magnetic personality. Strangely he does not figure in the AAAS "hall of Fame" - but that's Yanks for yer!Tetenterre wrote:Ørsted, Hans Christian

Lots of names most have never heard of, people who added discoveries and knowledge without which our modern world would not exist (Pants might say that would be a good thing!) Still finding them myself.
