You're right. If it was on the HSS forum it would probably have been censored.

My old dog; cos he loves me, and he makes sure I get my morning walk and I am going to have to watch him dying.
(well I am Now) he's nearly 13 years old, and he's had a good life with us. But he is dying.
And I'll miss him.

Alan, Is he ill now or is he just "getting up there?

I know how you feel. I had to shoot my 15 yr old border collie, last fall...and it about killed ME to have to do it. (The guys were gone..out of state..and Tuffy couldn't get up or walk anymore.)

Now, my Shih-Tzu...my last pet... is 13, and I know he hasn't got many years left...That is the life expectancy of his breed (13 yrs.) but damn...he's really healthy for an old fart. He's hard of hearing and can't read the paper anymore...but my vet was surprised about his age.
I don't know what we'll do without Humbo. He is part of the family...was my son's dog when he was a boy...and now he's Theresa's too.

I won't get another, tho. I can't DO this anymore. It is TOO heart breaking.
I am sorry to hear it, Alan.

The Answer:

I think I answered this question already....maybe not...
My hubbys worst habbit is to answer the phone in the living room while everyone else is watching TV or talking or listening to music. He will then STAY in the room and talk-talk-talk expecting EVERYONE in the room to tone it down while HE'S on the phone. What REALLY pisses me off is... we have 2 rooms that we use as offices and 3 other bedrooms in the house. The phones don't have cords!
"GO TO ANOTHER ROOM!" I say... "WHY INTERRUPT OUR MOVIE ... COVERSATIONS or WHATEVER?!"

I've spoken with him about this one behavior MANY times. yet...he continues to do it. Arrrggghhhh! He pisses me off!

I just don't get it.

No country walkers on this forum, then? OK, if I had a favourite country walk it would probably be on the Yorkshire Moors.
