Beauty without Cruelty

I don't know if this still happens but at one time manufacturers of hair conditioner made the stuff from cow placenta. Maybe Emma could tell us if this is still true.

Apparently, there are still hair conditioners that contain placenta, as well as some skin treatment creams (see Skin Deep). But it's not a hidden ingredient in ordinary conditioners. The products will have "placental extract" or "placental protein" listed in the ingredients, and some even advertise the fact boldly, such as Hask Henna 'n' Placenta Conditioner, available from Amazon for just £1.89. Bizarrely, some people are actually attracted to the idea of putting placenta on their hair ...

Do you know if it actually does any good?

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?
