The Bridge

#1 Post by Alan H » December 31st, 2015, 5:01 pm

In case you happened to miss it, the Swedish-Danish detective series, The Bridge, is now out on DVD: The Bridge box set review: all leather trousers and no small talk, Saga Norén is a brilliant creation

One of the best ever. Highly recommended but requires concentration!

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:

1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

I hadn't heard of it until I looked it up on Wikipedia and saw that there is an American version, which just ended after two seasons (it takes place on the Mexican border). Apparently it got good reviews but not enough viewers.

I'm hoping Netflix or some American network will pick up the version you mentioned, as I'm always looking for good programs of that type.

Presently enjoying a series called Person of Interest, about a government AI computer designed to seek out terrorists but used by its inventor to help people in danger.

The Swedish/Danish version is the original and best. Athena has watched a UK/French version but no where near as good.
