Can anyone recommend a film for a discussion?

#1 Post by Manel » April 3rd, 2017, 7:47 pm

Hello!

I'd like to organize a film discussion group in our association, can anyone please suggest me a film?

Thanks!

This is not really a recommendation, Manel, because I haven't seen it, but Edinburgh Humanists are discussing it. I guess it's in English, which may be a barrier. Try searching online for The God Delusion or The God Question.
Carpe diem. Savour every moment.

Thankyou very much, Lewist!!

I have seen it, and it's the greatest one! But I was just thinking of a conventional movie, not a documentary. I'll definitely try to use it, as it is also subtitled in spanish.

Great idea, thanks so much!

Best wishes

As I rarely watch films I'm no help on your question, Manel....

...but was delighted to discover this supercomputer in a deconsecrated Barcelona church

Thankyou, Zeff!

I didn't know about Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I'll have a look at it.

Cheers!

I recommend Religulous by Bill Maher. It isn't actually 'a film' but very interesting and engaging.

Bill Maher is both a serious and funny commentator...

There's The Meaning of Life (Monty Python)..

The 'Bishop's Gambit' (30 minutes) is funny and informative about the Church of England during the 1970s or 80s...

I don't know what it would cost to watch it in Spain.

There's Dave Allen videos if you can connect your computer to the screen...

Here are some efforts (free) from the Humanist Society Scotland..

I'll let you know if I think of others.

Remember AtheismUK's song..

which is quite good.

Thanks so much, Zeff!

I'll check it all.

It's great to have so much response, it's a pleasure to be here.

Thanks again to everyone
