3-D Optical Illusions
Re: 3-D Optical Illusions

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:
1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

Stare at this pic carefully and you will see this man turn his face.

Good, but what happened to the end of his nose in the sideways "view" I wonder? Is it some sort of computer pointer getting in on the act?

Didn't have to look carefully. It was strangely two people at the same time. Now I need to lie down.

That's like the silhouette of, either, one chalice or two faces, look long enough and it changes back and forth . . . and makes one feel queezy!jaywhat wrote:Didn't have to look carefully. It was strangely two people at the same time. Now I need to lie down.

Although mightily impressive, I don't think any benefit would last for long, unless in many places and constantly changing characters. Testosterone fuelled youngsters would detour by them to give female passengers a fright.
Re: 3-D Optical Illusions
It takes a special kind of brain to work out the required distortions in the artwork for this kind of thing. (Assuming no optical equipment is used to project the images of course!)

Strange, there seems to be a short time delay for me before the shades look the same.

Re: 3-D Optical Illusions
Hah! Well, that was interesting and nicely serendipitous:
Try this with the YouTube clip Alan just posted: stare at the centre while it plays for about 20 seconds, then pause it. What (if anything) do you notice?

Re: 3-D Optical Illusions
Hah! Brain gap again in my last post - I had gone from the rotating rings and viewed a clip of a paper plane flying round in circles over the rings of an electric cooker. Forgot that no-one else had seen that!
