Greetings G. Wiz.
It never surprises me that the religious amongst us can never seem to be able to see beyond their own navels! Everything they look at must be seen as a reflection in the mirror of their own, founded in fantasy, beliefs.

Reading the 'arguments for the existence of god' thread on its own provides enough juicy cuts.
The bit about seeing god in the eyes of cows (or sommat) was a high point.

There are three fundamental questions for anyone advocating Brexit:
1. What, precisely, are the significant and tangible benefits of leaving the EU?
2. What damage to the UK and its citizens is an acceptable price to pay for those benefits?
3. Which ruling of the ECJ is most persuasive of the need to leave its jurisdiction?

If atheism is a religion, then health is a disease . . .

How about baldness as a hairstyle?
or atheism as a 'belief'.

The 2nd quotation is surprising, as I expected Christians would be more familiar with the language of their own holy book.Alan C. wrote:Warning! This site can severely increase your blood pressure.Val

The "rod" mentioned is a measuring rod -- a yardstick.
The passage the quoted had in mind was advocating testing or challenging our children, not beating them. I thought Christians knew this.
Re: Atheism is a religion???!!!
OK, the reasonable ones have read their Scripture and thought about it. But expecting a Fundie to know what stuff is supposed to mean? That's way too optimistic, Seyorni. And too much like critical thinking.seyorni wrote:

Re: Atheism is a religion???!!!
Good point, Thundril. Critical thinking does seem to be a major stumbling block.
